The week of May 6-May 9
Our praying mantisis are living happily in the flower garden of a nature loving person! We do miss their presence.
We've been working on phonemic awareness and touching on the long vowel sounds . We've played beginning Scrabble. We also worked on our good listening skills and have reviewed our color words and number words. We were busy writing about small moments spent with our moms in Writer's Workshop.
In math,we've been reviewing shapes,writing up to 100, and getting the concepts of addition and subtraction, all through the use of a numberline and the calendar. Mrs. Chapman worked with math story problems.
Our Handwriting continues to be presented in a sensory way as well as with paper and pencil.
We continue to work on learning about seeds and the sequencing of the whole process.
We have been working on good sportsmanship,making good decisions,and sticking to the rules.
